Biography
- Born in 1954 in Muenster
- 1975-78 Studied at the College of the Arts in Berlin under Professors Schoenholtz und Ohlwein
- 1978-82 Studied painting at the College of the Arts, Berlin
- 1989 Received scholarship from Berlin Senate
- 1991 Received scholarship from Artist’s Colony Schoeppingen
- 1993 Received scholarship from Art House, Wiepersdorf Castle
- 1994 Received German Award for Art from the Volks- and Raiffeisen banks (4th Place)
- Nominated for the Daniel Henry Kahnweiler Prize
- 1999 Received scholarship from the Lukas Art Center, Ahrenshoop, Mecklenburg
- 2003 Received scholarship for the Fine Arts from the State of Brandenburg
- 2014 Art Award for Painting from the State of Brandenburg’s Ministry of Science, Research and Culture
- 2015 Brandenburg Art Award for Painting from the Märkischen Oder Newspaper

Ulrike Hogrebe has received many awards, among them, the Karl Hofer Scholarship, a working scholarship from the Berlin Senate, a scholarship from the Artist’s Colony Schoeppingen, a scholarship from the Art House at Wiepersdorf Castle, a scholarship from the Lukas Art Center in Ahrenshoop and a scholarship for the Fine Arts from the State of Brandenburg. In 2013 she was chosen for the Art Award for Painting from the State of Brandenburg’s Ministry of Science, Research and Culture. In 2015 she was nominated for the Brandenburg Art Award for Painting from the Märkischen Oder Newspaper. Her work is in numerous public and private collections, for instance, in the Berlin Gallery, the New Berlin Artist’s Union, the Walbusch collection and the Behrens collection. She is the initiator of the Biennale Land(schafft)Kunst (Landscape Art), which has taken place every two years in Neuwerder (Brandenburg) since 2006.
